Chashama's 2014 Summer
Performance Series
As part of our residency with Chashama's 2014 Summer Performance Series, The Clearing hosted Open Workshop Rehearsals June 27 - 29, 2014 at 1351 Amsterdam Ave. NY, NY.
The daily, 4-hour workshops were for adult performers and incorporated yoga, meditation, movement development and vocal improvisation. At the conclusion of the 3 day workshop, the paricipants performed their resulting freshly devised work as a short performance piece for the Manhattan community.

The performances allowed audiences to have a window into The Clearing's creative process and to have a first look at new, never-before-seen scenes that were being constructed for their work-in-progress: hOMAge . After each performance, audience members had the opportunity to give feedback on the work, and help determine what went into the final piece.
